I am a cross-country traveler who covers U.S. urban issues. For three years, I’m circling America to live for a month each in 30 cities, starting from Miami and ending in New York City. The point is to write a book about revitalizing cities through Market Urbanism—which is the intersection of classical liberal economics with urban issues. But I also write articles on multiple other city subjects.
August 21-27: Scott Beyer’s car has broken down. It wouldn’t be a cross-country trip without this happening at least once. So he is stuck in Provo, UT–where the VW Jetta quit on him–and is anxiously waiting for the repair shop to fix it, so that he can continue moving to points further south, then east.

The Market Urbanism Report
The Market Urbanism Report is a media company owned and managed by Scott Beyer. Its goal is to advance the Market Urbanism idea, so that it becomes more widely known by the public and better utilized within municipalities. Founded in July of 2017, The Report is a hub for market-oriented city writing, publishing daily original content and reposting articles from elsewhere. The Report also has a video series where urbanists discuss the issues affecting their cities.
